Northside Cemetery
George County, Mississippi

We’ll start our trip to this cemetery on Main Street in downtown Lucedale, Mississippi. Go west on Main street until you come to
Lamar Street on your right, take this right hand turn and go several blocks to Magnolia Street. Take a left on Magnolia Street and it will
take you into the cemetery. The cemetery is owned and maintained by the Lily Grove Church and it’s members.The cemetery is surrounded
by a chain link fence and there were many unmarked graves in it.
The cemetery was walked by Jimmy Trussell on the 8^th of December 2007, and the information was taken from all legible temporary grave
markers and headstone inscriptions.
This cemetery in days past was called the Northside Cemetery, however in 1989 there was a new sign erected at the main gate of the cemetery.
The new sign shows the name now used is that of Lily Grove Cemetery.
