Hilltop Cemetery
George County, Mississippi

 

 Leave Lucedale, Mississippi on highway 26 west. You will go 2.3 miles and cross over the highway 63 by-pass, continue on highway 26
until you come to the Central School and the Shady Grove Cemetery. They will both be on your left and there is a road (Basin-Central Road),
between them, take this left hand turn. Now you will go another 4.6 miles and as you round a slight curve in the road the cemetery will be on your left.
This is a private family cemetery, and upkeep is done by members of the family. It is surrounded by a chain link fence with a large iron gate that has the name on it.
The cemetery was walked by Jimmy Trussell on the 11th of December 2007, and the information was taken from all legible temporary grave markers
and headstone inscriptions.
