was born November 10, 1849 in Lowndes County, Al, and died April 06,
1925. He married (1) ELLEN UNKNOWN. The 1870 census listed James age 21
and his wife Ellen S. age 22. The had a 6 month old daughter named
Sallie A. He married (2) EMMALINE MCNEIL May 10, 1869, daughter of JOHN
MCNEIL and MARY ELLIS. She was born 1849, and died February 09, 1891.

1880 census listed J Calven Parrish, age 29 living in Old Texas, Monroe
County, AL. Lucy E. his wife age 29, Annie age 10, Mary E. age 7, James
